Ability to failover a leaf in absence of APICs

Cisco APIC can now automatically trigger snapshots of a switch for predefined events, such as when a node joins or rejoins the cluster or when you make changes to the configuration.

Leaf reload in the absence of Cisco APIC

Cisco ACI with Cisco UCSM Integration

Beginning in Cisco APIC Release 4.1(1), you can automate networking policies on Cisco UCS devices. To do so, you integrate Cisco UCSM into the Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) fabric. Cisco APIC takes hypervisor NIC information from the Cisco UCSM and a virtual machine manager (VMM). The automation applies to all the devices that the Cisco UCSM manages.

ACI IP SLAs

Support for IP SLAs in static routes

Multi-Tier Architecture (Tier-2 Leaf)

Cisco APIC now supports a 3-tier core-aggregation-access topology.
