This chapter describes when a geo-redundant cluster may need disaster recovery. It provides procedures for recovering after the active or standby cluster is destroyed, and after restoring an active cluster from disaster.
Disaster recovery for geo redundant clusters
Recover the Crosswork Network Controller system after cluster nodes, services, or applications malfunction, or a disaster destroys the cluster hosts.
Recover the active cluster
Recover service after the active cluster is destroyed by promoting the standby cluster and rebuilding the destroyed cluster as standby.
Recover the standby cluster
Replace a destroyed standby cluster, enable geo redundancy, and synchronize its data from the active cluster.
Recover after an active cluster disaster restore
Use this procedure to recover correct cluster leadership when both clusters show active roles after restoring an Active cluster from disaster.
