Reporting Ethics Concerns

At Cisco, we know that trust isn’t just built on what we create, but how we create it.

Cisco encourages the reporting of any suspected violations of Cisco's Code of Business Conduct, company policy, or laws and regulations. Concerns can easily be raised to the Ethics Team via the following options:

  • Using Cisco EthicsLine, a confidential reporting tool that enables anyone to file a report online or by telephone, 24 hours a day, seven days a week and in multiple languages
  • Sending an email directly to ethics@cisco.com

Cisco’s EthicsLine is available to Cisco employees, customers, partners, vendors, and others involved with Cisco’s business. We encourage anyone to raise concerns if they become aware of possibly unlawful or unethical conduct or suspect there has been a violation of Cisco’s Code of Business Conduct or other company policy.

Where permitted by local law, reports may be made anonymously via, EthicsLine, or a request can be made that the Ethics Team treat a report as anonymous.

The Ethics Team handles reports discreetly and makes every effort to maintain confidentiality or anonymity.

Policy of No Retaliation

Cisco strictly prohibits retaliation against anyone who raises good-faith concerns about potential misconduct. Retaliation is also prohibited against anyone who refuses to engage in conduct that violates the Code of Business Conduct, Cisco policies, or the law. Cisco’s non-retaliation policy extends to those who cooperate with investigations or participate in related proceedings.

Any Cisco employee involved in retaliatory conduct may face disciplinary action, up to and including separation from the company.

Cisco supports reporters who raise good-faith concerns, and any suspected retaliation should be reported to the Ethics Team immediately.

Specialized Concerns – Human Rights and Privacy
