Asset Tracker Solution

Cisco Asset Tracker solution

Cisco Asset Tracker Solution helps organizations locate, identify, and manage physical assets across enterprise environments. It improves asset visibility, reduces the time users spend searching for equipment, and supports more efficient inventory and operational workflows. The solution includes the Cisco Asset Tag hardware and two software applications: the Cisco Spaces Asset Tracker dashboard app, which administrators use to configure and monitor the solution, and the Cisco Asset Tracker mobile app, which end users use to onboard tags and locate assets.

Cisco Asset Tag is the compact, battery-powered hardware component of the solution. The tag transmits Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and Ultra-Wideband (UWB) signals. Supported Cisco access points observe those signals and provide location data to Cisco Spaces.

The Cisco Asset Tracker mobile app is the field-facing experience for onboarding and locating assets. It connects a physical tag to an asset record through NFC onboarding and supports building and floor selection, category and asset association, optional asset photos, search, indoor directions, UWB Nearby mode, and NFC confirmation of the physical asset. Use the Cisco Asset Tracker mobile app to tasks such as signing in and onboarding tags to searching for, navigating to, and confirming assets.

The Cisco Spaces Asset Tracker dashboard app provides centralized configuration, monitoring, governance, automation, and reporting. Administrators use the dashboard to configure locations and maps, manage categories and permissions, monitor assets, create rules, and review reports. The access, buildings, categories, and actions available in the mobile app are controlled through dashboard roles and scope.
