Introduction

Cisco is expanding Cisco Secure AI Factory with NVIDIA to deliver industry-leading, rack-scale, liquid-cooled AI infrastructure. Cisco will offer Supermicro liquid- and air-cooled systems and support, giving customers access to rack-scale and dense GPU systems. Cisco is the only NVIDIA technology partner to deliver an NVIDIA Cloud Partner–compliant reference architecture built on partner-developed networking systems, spanning both Cisco® Silicon One® and NVIDIA Spectrum-X switch silicon, unified by the Cisco Nexus® One architecture with a choice of Cisco NX-OS (the industry's most deployed data center OS) or Sonic.

To accelerate deployment, offers include Cisco Validated Infrastructure Services (CVIS) —an end-to-end solution delivery motion, aligned with NVIDIA's NVIS methodology, to deploy and validate the full stack against the reference architecture. CVIS is anchored by a dedicated large-scale engineering AI cluster in Cisco's own lab, where deployment tooling, performance profiles, and software releases are continuously validated.

The expansion of Cisco Secure AI Factory with NVIDIA to rack-scale infrastructure enables neoclouds, sovereign clouds, and enterprises to accelerate deployment of emerging AI use cases such as large-scale inference, agentic AI, and trillion-parameter model training on full-stack AI infrastructure, with integrated security and observability from Cisco. It provides the operational framework necessary to turn raw GPU power into a deployable enterprise AI stack. By using common operating models and existing technical competencies, organizations can implement trusted AI infrastructure without the complexity of new, proprietary skill requirements.

Purpose, Audience, and Scope

Purpose

This publication provides information about ordering AI cluster architecture (Cisco switching + ‘Supermicro’ GPU servers + services) from CCW estimate creation.

Scope

This ordering guide describes the information for:

●     Technical Readiness

●     Quote to Cash Workflow

●     Catalog of Product IDs

●     Step by Step Ordering Process

●     Links to additional resources

Audience

Cisco sales teams and partners.

Technical Readiness

Partners can transact full AI cluster architecture (Cisco switching + 'Supermicro' GPU servers + services) within Cisco Commerce Workspace (CCW) under a single solution Bundle (MLB – Multi line Bundle) on Cisco Paper. Partners are required to collaborate with the sales team for all financial discussions. Sellers and Partners must complete the mandatory ‘Supermicro Questionnaire’ to validate customer readiness as part of the seller opportunity and quote in Cisco Commerce Workspace (CCW). Separate invoices are issued by Cisco for Cisco and Supermicro Products.

Key Callouts:

●     Partner will be the Importer of the Record (IOR) in the supported countries.

●     Cisco Sellers and Partners must complete a mandatory ‘Supermicro Questionnaire’ during opportunity & quoting process.

●     ‘Supermicro’ Hardware and Support lines are fulfilled and drop-shipped directly by 'Supermicro’.

●     There is no change order supported, once the order is scheduled (PONR Status (Point of No Return): Scheduled)

●     Supermicro products are ineligible for CETF (Customer Extended Term Finance) flooring BID.

●     Customers should contact Cisco for any support requests, including RMAs. Cisco manages post-sale support case intake, entitlement, and L0/L1 support, and redirects cases to Supermicro for RMA, front-end or TAC L2 for Supermicro products.

Questionaries and Waivers

Rack Questionnaire

Collects the customer's datacenter, power, cooling, server, switch, network topology, and integration requirements so the rack design matches the actual site and application. Used by engineering teams to produce a valid rack BOM, cabling, PDU, and cooling layout. Questions cover location & volume, rack dimensions/weight limits, power feed & PDU type, server/switch counts & port speeds, topology (non-blocking / oversubscription), cross-rack cabling, liquid-cooling readiness, naming/labeling, and onsite services. Answers come primarily from the customer's datacenter / facilities / network teams, with input from the Partner and Cisco AE/SE.

Liquid Cooling Questionnaire

Captures site-specific liquid cooling details required to correctly size, select, and deploy liquid-cooled racks (CDUs, piping, coolant, cooling towers, etc.). Used by the SMC Liquid Cooling team to generate the liquid cooling BOM and plan onsite deployment. Questions cover project/customer info, site location and facility readiness, primary loop parameters (coolant type, temperature range, flow rate, pressure), server/switch/power tray PNs, rack configuration, in-row CDU setup, cooling tower requirements, and any special requests. Answers come from the customer's facilities/data center team, Partner, and Cisco/SMC technical resources.

Liquid Cooling Waivers

Formal acknowledgment that the customer accepts responsibility for integrating a non-validated third-party CDU with Supermicro systems. Used to document that Supermicro provides no warranty, performance guarantee, or RMA coverage for issues arising from non-Supermicro CDUs, and that the customer is liable for related labor, shipping, material, and testing costs. The letter requires the customer to confirm understanding and acceptance. No technical questions are asked; it is a liability and acknowledgment document. Customer (authorized signatory) must review and sign; AE/SE or Partner typically provides the letter.

Consolidated End User Questionnaire (Compliance)

The EUQ (End User Questionnaire) records who is buying and using the products, where they will go, and how they will be used; it also provides written certification that advanced computer products are going to a verified customer and are not being diverted to a prohibited end user or use. It matters because Cisco uses it to identify export compliance red flags and confirm information needed for export authorizations. The customer should complete it accurately and in full, have it signed by an authorized representative, and provide it to the partner for submission in CCW with the order; they should also respond to any follow-up questions. Missing or incomplete information can put the order on hold or delay release and fulfillment.

●     Estimate Validation & Deal Linking: Once the Estimate (BOM) is validated (free of configuration errors and export compliance flags), it serves as the foundation for the transaction. You must then import or link this Estimate to a Deal ID.

●     Quote Generation and Data Entry: Within the Deal, generate a Quote. At this stage, you must enter specific transaction details, including:

◦    End Customer and Ship-to information.

◦    Requested delivery dates.

●     Submission for Approval: Submit the Quote for the required approval workflow. Depending on the discount level or product type (e.g., Supermicro resell), this may trigger a review by Regional Sales Management (DSM), Finance, or Product Management.

●     Deal/Quote Approval: The Deal is considered finalized only when the Quote status moves to "Approved." This indicates that all pricing and compliance checks have been satisfied

●     Order Conversion and Submission: With an approved Quote, you can now proceed to the "Convert to Order" phase. Review the final terms, attach any required purchase orders (PO), and submit the order for fulfillment.
