This guide is intended for experienced network administrators who plan to deploy the Crosswork Data Gateway for Crosswork Cloud in their network environment.

Prerequisites for Crosswork Data Gateway deployment

Before using this guide, ensure that you:

  • Have a valid login for the Cisco Crosswork Cloud environment.

  • Are familiar with these topics:

    • Data center configuration: Understand the data centers where you plan to install Crosswork Data Gateway. Specifically, you should be able to deploy applications using one of the supported virtualization platforms:

      • VMware vCenter: Deploy the templates using vCenter UI or Open Virtualization Format (OVF) Tool.

      • OpenStack: Deploy Crosswork Data Gateway on OpenStack using either the CLI or UI.

  • Have experience monitoring and troubleshooting network components.

  • Familiar with different operating systems used on network devices, such as:

    • Cisco IOS-XR

    • Cisco IOS-XE

    • Cisco NX-OS

  • Know how to configure the proxy settings for connecting from your company’s internal network to Crosswork Cloud.

Crosswork Data Gateway capabilities and integrations

The Crosswork Data Gateway collects data from monitored devices and forwards it to Cisco Crosswork Cloud applications. These applications analyze the data and, if needed, alert administrators for further action.
