Overview

Describes the steps for upgrading the system software from the Software Management page.

Before you begin

  • Create a backup of your Catalyst Center on ESXi database.

  • If your deployment uses a firewall, ensure Catalyst Center on ESXi can access this location on each cluster node to download system and package files from: https://www.ciscoconnectdna.com:443.

Note

Only users with the SUPER-ADMIN-ROLE can complete this procedure.

Procedure

1.

A pop-up window opens in the top-right corner, indicating that a new version of Catalyst Center on ESXi is available. Click the Go to Software Management link.

Note

If you do not see this pop-up window, you can also click the menu icon from the upper-left corner and choose System > Software Management.

In the Software Management page, click Upgrade.
3.

In the Upgrade Release dialog box, click Install.
4.

In the Schedule Upgrade dialog box, specify when you want to start the upgrade; then click Download.

You can track the upgrade progress from the Activities page.
