Release relationship and upgrade guidance
Cisco Crosswork Planning 7.2.1 SP is the latest release in the 7.2.x release family. This release includes the features and enhancements previously introduced in 7.2.0, in addition to the updates delivered with 7.2.1 SP.
If you are currently running release 7.2.0, we recommend that you upgrade to 7.2.1 SP. For more information, refer to Installation and upgrade instructions.
The feature information in these Release Notes is cumulative. Features identified as introduced in 7.2.0 continue to be supported in 7.2.1 SP.
Cisco Crosswork Planning 7.2.1 SP installation files

Upgrade process considerations
Before upgrading, backup your data. Additionally, ensure that the server being patched has sufficient space to unarchive and copy the files.
● at least 5 GB of free space in the /home/cw-admin/ directory
● at least 1 GB of free space in the /tmp/ directory
The upgrade process is disruptive and must be performed during a maintenance window. When upgrading, some processes may temporarily report as unhealthy or degraded. The system status typically updates and applications restart within 30 minutes per application.
Note: Wait until the system status reflects "Healthy" before proceeding to install the next patch file.
Note: If the system status does not return to "Healthy" within 30 minutes, or if you encounter any error while installing the patch, contact the Cisco Customer Experience team before attempting to move forward with the next step.
This section describes the software features introduced in releases 7.2.0. These features are also available in 7.2.1 SP. No new software features are introduced in 7.2.1 SP.

The topology is derived from a chosen base plan, and you can specify the desired time intervals for traffic levels, such as hourly segments. You can now create and manage several traffic levels that are globally available for each opened plan file. The selected traffic level determines the information displayed in the topology graph and network summary table calculations. Additionally, you can select QoS settings globally for each opened plan file. You can configure service classes, interface queues, and undifferentiated traffic, as well as add or edit service classes, assign service classes to queues, and add or edit service policies. Cisco Bug Search Tool
You can use the Cisco Bug Search Tool to search for bugs.
1. Go to the Cisco Bug Search Tool.
2. Enter your registered Cisco.com username and password, and click Log In.
The Bug Search page opens.
Note: If you do not have a Cisco.com username and password, you can register on the registration page.
3. From the Product drop-down list, select Series/Model.
4. Click Select from List and select Routers > Service Provider Infrastructure Software > Cisco Crosswork Planning > Cisco Crosswork Planning 7 and click Select.
5. From the Release drop-down list, choose the appropriate filter as, Affecting or Fixed in Releases, Affecting Releases, or Fixed in Releases and enter the release version in the search field.
6. (Optional) You can enter additional criteria (such as bug ID, problem description, a feature, or a product name) in the search field.
7. Click Search. When the search results are displayed, use the filter tools to narrow the results. You can filter the bugs by status, severity, and so on.
8. To export the results to a spreadsheet, click Export Results to Excel.
