The Upgrade Readiness App (URA) displays incorrect information for the jQuery Scan, with discrepancies observed between the results of manual and automated scans. This article explores potential causes and solutions for resolving these inconsistencies.
The default URA scan results via email stating, “The Upgrade Readiness App detected 'X' apps with deprecated jQuery.” However, upon running a manual scan, significantly fewer apps are found to be failing.
The weekly email report relies on the results of the scheduled scan rather than the manual scan, which has caused a mismatch in app counts.
This discrepancy is leading to false positives and unnecessary alerts within the environment, highlighting inconsistencies in the jQuery scan results.
The issue will be resolved in version 4.6.1 of the Upgrade Readiness App (URA). Since URA is a default Splunk application, this fix will be included in upcoming Splunk releases.
For Splunk Enterprise, URA version 4.6.1 will be available in versions 9.1.7, 9.2.4, and 9.3.2.
For Splunk Cloud, it will be included in versions 9.3.2408.104, 9.2.2406.109, 9.2.2403.114, and subsequent releases.
