Product overview

The Cisco 100G Quad Small Form-Factor Pluggable Double-Density (QSFP-DD) 100G ZR provides customers with a 100 Gigabit Ethernet ZR connectivity option for data centers, high-performance computing networks, enterprise core and distribution layers, and service provider applications. This QSFP-DD 100G module is our 100G transceiver module solution for host equipped with QSF-DD ports that requires to remotize the signal up to 80 km and more.

Features and benefits

The Cisco QSF-DD 100G ZR supports a 100GBASE-R client interface over an optical link length of up to 80 km over a standard pair of G.652 single-mode fiber with duplex LC connectors. The 100 Gigabit Ethernet signal is carried over a single coherent wavelength in the C-band spectrum region.

It is also possible to extend beyond 80 km leveraging on external amplification, providing the CD robustness specification are not exceeded.
