Shannon McFarland is a Solutions Architect for data center technologies and enterprise IPv6 design on Cisco's Enterprise Solutions Engineering team. He is currently focused on data center design validation and optimization with an application/OS focus on all things Microsoft. He has been responsible for his team's enterprise IPv6 design and deployment effort for more than five years. McFarland has authored many technical papers, been a contributor to Cisco Press books, and is a frequent speaker at Cisco Networkers and other industry conferences. Previously he was a Cisco field support engineer, supporting enterprise customers and partners. McFarland has been in the networking and application industry for more than 16 years. He holds CCIE certification 5245.
