Add Common Speed Dial to Multiple IP Phones using BAT

The speed dials can be modified with the help of Cisco Unified Communications Manager Bulk Administration Tool based on the device type. Complete the procedure in the next section through the CUCM Administration page. This was completed using a 7961 IP Phone device.

Step-by-Step Instructions

This can be done by Creating a Phone Template and a custom File Format with the help of BAT. Based on the File Format for the specified device type of IP Phone export the .txt file. Download the file and make the changes. Then, upload using BAT as per the Phone Template and File Format.

Complete these steps:

  1. From the Cisco Unified Call Manager Administration main page, go to Bulk Administration > Phones > Phone Template.
