    3. Open this file and Enable Macros (if prompted).

  2. In the User Device Profiles tab, use the Create File Format button in order to add the required fields. Fill in the appropriate data. Click the Export to BAT Format button in order to save the file.

  3. Upload the bat file. Complete these steps:

    1. In the Bulk Administration, choose Upload/Download files.

    2. Click Add New and choose the file.

    3. Choose the target (UDP).

    4. Choose the Transaction Type (Insert UDP - Specific Details).

    5. Upload the file to the CUCM server.

  4. Validate the User Device Profiles. Complete these steps:

    1. Choose Bulk Administration > User Device Profiles.

    2. Use the Validate UDP Specific Details option in order to validate the User Device Profiles.

  5. Complete these steps in order to insert the User Device Profiles for User Devices:

    1. Choose Bulk Administration > User Device Profiles > Insert User Device Profiles. The User Device Profiles Insert Configuration window displays.

    2. Click the Insert User Device Profiles Specific Details radio button in order to insert UDP records that use a customized file format. Continue with steps 4 and 5.

    3. Click the Insert User Device Profiles All Details radio button in order to insert UDP records from an exported UDP file that was generated by the use of the All Details option.

    4. In the File Name drop-down list box, choose the CSV data file that you created for this specific bulk transaction.

    5. For the Specific Details option, in the User Device Profiles Template Name drop-down list box, choose the BAT phone template that you created for this type of bulk transaction.

  5. After you subscribe to the Extension Mobility service, choose Bulk Administration Tool > Phones > Update Phones > Query . Run a blank query.

    em-bat-config-10.gif

  6. Choose all Phones currently known by CUCM. You can specify an OR query in here in order to allow specific models to be updated. Once the query has returned the current records, choose Next and scroll down almost to the end of the page.

  7. There are two settings that must be set in order to allow Extension Mobility to function correctly.

    • The two check boxes under Extension Information for Enable Extension Mobility and the specification of the logged out profile must be checked.

    • In Assign IP Phone Services, the check box for Add all services from this template must be checked, and the template that is previously specified. It is also recommended to check the two check boxes for Remove Duplicate so that duplicate records are removed, otherwise CUCM simply adds additional services to an IP phone.

  8. Schedule the job to run immediately and, if you have physical access to your phones, you see them reset. Extension Mobility can now be enabled on your IP phone.
