About Default Values for Basic Operation
The default values for Cisco Unified Conferencing for TelePresence usage are set on a single administrative web page. The system language, AXL interface, and password security defaults are always in effect. Other defaults, such as audio and video settings and quality settings, take effect when they are not overridden by end-user scheduling options or when end users do not invite Cisco TelePresence endpoints to a meeting.
Configuring Password Security for User Profiles
Procedure
Step 1
Log in to the Administration Center.
Step 2
Choose System Configuration > Usage Configuration.
Step 3
Enter field values as described in Table 4-1.
Step 4
Click Save.

Configuring the Cisco Unified Communications Manager AXL Interface
Cisco Unified Conferencing for TelePresence uses the Cisco Unified Communications Manager AXL interface to obtain Cisco TelePresence device information and to authenticate end users.
Procedure
Step 1
Log in to the Administration Center.
Step 2
Choose System Configuration > Usage Configuration.
Step 3
Enter field values as described in Table 4-2.
Step 4
Click Save.

Configuring the Number of Audio and Video Ports
These defaults take effect when end users either do not specify values during meeting scheduling or do not invite Cisco TelePresence endpoints to meetings.
Procedure
Step 1
Log in to the Administration Center.
Step 2
Choose System Configuration > Usage Configuration.
Step 3
Enter field values as described in Table 4-3.

Note
If end users do not include Cisco TelePresence Systems during meeting scheduling and the default number of rooms per meeting fields are both set to 0, then scheduling will fail.
Step 4
Click Save.

Configuring the Video Quality and Switching Mode
These defaults take effect when end users either do not specify values during meeting scheduling or do not invite Cisco TelePresence endpoints to meetings.
Before You Begin
A service must exits on the MCU that meets the requirements for the default video quality and switching mode that you choose.
Procedure
Step 1
Log in to the Administration Center.
Step 2
Choose System Configuration > Usage Configuration.
Step 3
Enter field values as described in Table 4-4.
Step 4
Click Save.

Synchronizing Meetings
Use this procedure to synchronize scheduled meetings between Video Administration and the MCU if all meetings are deleted from Video Administration because the MCU goes offline.
Procedure
Step 1
Log in to the Administration Center.
Step 2
Choose System Configuration > Usage Configuration.
Step 3
Click Synchronize meetings.
