About Licenses
Cisco provides a Product Authorization Key (PAK) with the Cisco Unified Conferencing for TelePresence order. After registering the PAK, Cisco Systems e-mails you a license file, and you upload the license file to the server to enable its capabilities. The License Manager service enforces these license limits.
Table 2-1 provides information about Cisco Unified Conferencing for TelePresence licenses.
Viewing the Server MAC Address
Use this procedure to view the MAC address of the Cisco Unified Conferencing for TelePresence server so that you can obtain the license file.
Procedure
Step 1
Log in to the Administration Center.
Step 2
Click Maintenance > Licenses > Install Licenses. The MAC address displays in the Host ID (MAC address) area.

Obtain the PAK that came with your order.
•
Obtain the license fulfillment instructions that came with your order.
•
Obtain the server MAC address.
Procedure
Step 1
Follow the license fulfillment instructions that came with your order to obtain a license file.
Step 2
Save the license file to a location where you can access it from the Administration Center after you receive it by e-mail.

Uploading a New License File
Use this procedure to upload licenses to your system for the first time or to install new licenses.The licenses take effect immediately.
Before You Begin
Obtain the license file.
Procedure
Step 1
Log in to the Administration Center.
Step 2
Click Maintenance > Licenses > Install Licenses.
Step 3
Click Upload new license file.

CautionUploading a new licence file deletes all previously uploaded licenses.
Step 4
Click Browse and navigate to the license file.
Step 5
Click Install License.

Use this procedure to append licenses to the current license file, keeping all the previously uploaded licenses. The licenses take effect immediately.
Procedure
Step 1
Log in to the Administration Center.
Step 2
Click Maintenance > Licenses > Install Licenses.

Click Append incremental license file.
Step 4
Click Browse and navigate to the license file to use.
Step 5
Click Install License.
