Cisco UCS Server Diagnostics Utility

Cisco provides the following diagnostics utilities for Cisco UCS C845A M8 rack server.

Cisco UCS Server Diagnostics Utility (Cisco UCS SDU)—The Cisco UCS SDU is an application that helps you to perform interactive offline diagnostics. For more information on performing these tasks, see the latest version of the Cisco UCS Server Diagnostics Utility User Guide.

Cisco UCS SDU 2.0(1.250100) is supported on the following UCS server:

  • UCS C845A M8 Rack Server

Hardware Requirements for Cisco UCS SDU

The following are the minimum hardware requirements for Cisco UCS SDU:

  • CD-ROM Drive—A USB CD/DVD-ROM drive is required to be able to boot and run the Cisco UCS SDU. You can also use the virtual media option in the Cisco BMC KVM to boot the Cisco UCS SDU.

  • Mouse—Some functions require a standard mouse (USB) for navigation.

  • RAM—A minimum of 4 GB RAM. If the available RAM is less than the minimum recommended value, the Cisco UCS SDU will not function properly.
