FIPS Properties
Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) are a set of publicly announced standards developed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for use in computer systems by non-military U.S. government agencies and contractors. These standards ensure a common level of quality and interoperability for information technology and cybersecurity.
FIPS 140 is a specific series within the FIPS standards that focuses on the security requirements for cryptographic modules. These modules are hardware or software components used to encrypt and decrypt data. The FIPS 140 series ensures that these cryptographic modules meet stringent security standards to protect sensitive information:
The device supports support FIPS 140-2 compliance for the following management interfaces:

The device supports 2 modes:

FIPS compliant mode
-
FIPS non-compliant mode
By default, the switch is in the FIPS non compliant mode.
Complete the following steps to configure FIPS.

Click Security > General > FIPS Properties. |

Select FIPS Mode to enable FIPS mode on the device. |

Click Apply. A confirmation window “Confirm FIPS mode change” will be displayed. Click OK to complete the operation
