This publication provides international regulatory compliance and safety information for the Cisco 1000 Series Connected Grid Routers (CGR 1000 Series Routers), and for the Cisco Connected Grid modules and the Cisco Connected Grid antennas used with the routers. The model number for these routers is printed on the bottom homologation label with the approval logos and certification numbers. If your router arrived with the modules installed, labels affixed to the exterior of the router identify the modules.

Warning	In order to comply with FCC radio frequency (RF) exposure limits, antennas should be located at a minimum of 7.9 inches (20 cm) or more from the body of all persons.

Class A Notice for FCC

Modifying the equipment without Cisco's authorization may result in the equipment no longer complying with FCC requirements for Class A digital devices. In that event, your right to use the equipment may be limited by FCC regulations, and you may be required to correct any interference to radio or television communications at your own expense.

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class A digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference when the equipment is operated in a commercial environment. FCC Part 15 Notice

FCC Part 68 Notice

This equipment complies with Part 68 of the FCC rules and the Technical Requirements for Connection to the Telephone Network published by ACTA. On the bottom of the equipment is a label that contains, among other information, a product identifier in the format US:AAAEQ##TXXXX. If requested, this number must be provided to the telephone company.

If this equipment causes harm to the telephone network, the telephone company will notify you in advance that temporary discontinuance of service may be required. If advance notice is not practical, the telephone company will notify the customer as soon as possible. Also, you will be advised of your right to file a complaint with the FCC if you believe it is necessary.

The telephone company may make changes in its facilities, equipment, operation, or procedures that could affect the operation of this equipment. If this happens, the telephone company will provide advance notice in order for you to make the necessary modifications to maintain uninterrupted service.

If you have trouble with this equipment, please contact Cisco Systems for repair and warranty information. If the trouble is causing harm to the telephone network, the telephone company can request that you remove the equipment from the network until the problem is resolved.

RSS-Gen Notification for Canada

Under Industry Canada regulations, this radio transmitter must only operate using an antenna of a type an maximum (or lesser) gain approved for the transmitter by industry Canada. To reduce potential radio interference to other users, the antenna type and its gain should be so chosen that the equivalent isotropically radiated power (e.i.r.p.) is not more than necessary for successful communication.

•The industry Canada label identifies CS-03 certified equipment. This certification means that the equipment meets certain telecommunications network protection, operation, and safety requirements as described in the appropriate terminal equipment requirements document(s). •Before installing the equipment, check that you have permission to connect it to the facilities of the local telecommunications company. The equipment must also be installed using an acceptable method of connection. The customer should be aware that compliance with the above conditions may not prevent degradation of service in some situations.

•Repairs to certified equipment should be coordinated by a representative designated by the supplier. Any repairs or alterations made by the user to this equipment, or any equipment malfunctions, may cause the telecommunications company to request that the user disconnect the equipment.

•Ensure that the electrical ground connections of the power utility, telephone lines, and internal metallic water pipe system, if present, are connected together. This precaution may be particularly important in rural areas.
