Overview
Cisco Nexus Data Broker (NDB) is integrated into Nexus Dashboard as a dedicated fabric type, similar to the existing IPFM fabric. This integration allows NDB to function as its own distinct fabric within Nexus Dashboard environment, streamlining network visibility and monitoring operations.
NDB automates the creation and management of Data Broker fabrics on Cisco NX-OS switches for network test access point (TAP) and switched port analyzer (SPAN) aggregation, which simplifies deploying network visibility solutions. You can program traffic aggregation using SPAN or TAP ports, integrate with Cisco ACI for traffic mirroring, manage sessions flexibly, and centralize operations through Nexus Dashboard.
This article provides instructions on how to edit an NDB fabric that you have already created within Nexus Dashboard. For instructions on creating a new NDB fabric, see Creating Fabrics and Fabric Groups.
Edit an NDB fabric
You can update key configuration details, such as location and security domain, for an existing NDB fabric within Nexus Dashboard.
Follow these steps to edit an NDB fabric.

Navigate to the Fabrics page.
Go to Manage > Fabrics.

Choose the NDB fabric that you want to edit from the fabrics table.

From the Actions drop-down list, choose Edit fabric settings.
The Edit fabric-name settings page displays.
You can also access the Edit fabric-name settings page for a fabric from the Fabric Overview page. Navigate to the Fabric Overview page and click Actions > Edit fabric settings.

In the Edit fabric-name settings page, under the General tab, edit the fabric settings that you configured when you first created the fabric.
You can edit these fields.

Name — Displays the unique name assigned to the fabric.
This field is read-only and cannot be modified.

Location — Change the location associated with the fabric, if necessary.

License tier for fabric — NDB fabric currently supports only the Essentials license tier.
To review the features enabled for each license tier, click the information icon (?) next to the License tier for fabric field.

Auto network adaptation - Dynamically adapts to changes in the network layout without manual intervention — Check this option to enable Nexus Dashboard to automatically fix and reroute traffic when network connections change. This eliminates the need for manual updates.
If the inter-switch links between devices change, Nexus Dashboard updates the involved interfaces to deny traffic and redeploys user connections using the new route. You can edit this option as needed.

Security domain — Change the security domain assigned to the fabric, if necessary.

Click Save to apply your changes to the fabric configuration.
