Support for IRMH-5GS6-RC-GL UIM

The IRMH-5GS6-RC-GL is a 3GPP Release 17 5G Reduced Capability (RedCap) Universal Interface Module (UIM) for the Cisco Catalyst IR8140 Heavy Duty Router. It provides 5G Standalone (5G SA) RedCap and 4G LTE connectivity for industrial applications that require reliable cellular connectivity with moderate throughput.

Note

The IRMH-5GS6-RC-GL UIM supports 5G RedCap connectivity only on a 5G SA network offering RedCap service. It does not support 5G Non-Standalone (NSA) operation. When 5G SA RedCap service is unavailable, the module can use supported 4G LTE service, subject to network availability and carrier support.

Support for QCI

Support for QoS Class Identifier and 5G QoS Identifier (5QI) on EM8695 modem is provided for:

  • QCI: 1-9, 65-67, 69-76, 79, 80, 82-85.

  • 5QI: 1-9, 65-67, 69-76, 79, 80, 82-85.
