Splunk SOAR 8.5.0

Description

Splunk App for SOAR Export successfully forwards events but are missing the event_id.


Investigation

The cause of this issue is when the same search creates a notable event and forwards the event to SOAR, the event_id value is not available.


Resolution

There are two workarounds to this issue.

1. Split the creation of the notable and the forwarding of the notable into two separate searches. 

2. Keep one search, but query the notable table for the event_id to forward to SOAR.  Example SPL:

| search search_name="my-search"
| fields field_1, field_2, field_x
