Applicability

Description

Need to get all the input names specific to the connections in the Splunk DB Connect and export the report.

Investigation

There is no option to export the input name specific to the connection in the Splunk DB Connect. The connections can be filtered only and this will sort the connection names alphabetically.

Resolution

The below SPL query will list all the inputs specific to the connection which can be executed in the Search and Reporting app.

| rest /servicesNS/nobody/splunk_app_db_connect/configs/conf-db_inputs
| search connection="Connection_name"
| table title, connection
| rename title as Inputs

Replace Connection_name with the actual name of the connection to fetch the input configured with the connection.
