Description

The Notable was unavailable in the list of adaptive response actions in the correlation search configuration.

Investigation

During the investigation, it was found that the adaptive response action "Notable" was created in the app named "SA-ThreatIntelligence".

However, to configure the action in the Correlation search in the Splunk Enterprise Security Suite app, the alert action should have proper sharing (permission).

Resolution

To resolve this issue, the below steps need to be followed.

Navigate to the Settings.
Choose "Alert Actions" in the Knowledge section.
In the list of alert actions filter the "Notable" alert action using the filter.
Click the "Permissions" option in the sharing. (Reference Image 1)
In the "Edit Permissions" window, change the Display For option to "All apps" and Save the changes. (Reference image 2)
After the changes, the "Notable" alert action will be displayed in the Correlation search configuration. (Reference image 3)
