Problem Description

Patch AP.platform.22.0.1123.ap373954 fails to apply on Linux 5 servers.

Background

Note: This field notice was originally posted in the BroadSoft Xchange portal and has been moved over to Cisco.com as-is for historical purposes.

Problem Symptom

The patch fails to apply when applied individually or when applied as part of a patch bundle.

Workaround/Solution

BroadWorks patches can now be downloaded through the Cisco Software Download Center after logging in with your Cisco.com (CCO) account.

The version of BroadWorks that is currently deployed as well as the patches currently activated can be checked by executing the get versions all command from the CLI. More information on how to check the patch level can be found in the Cisco BroadWorks Maintenance Guide.

Workaround

Refer to the solution in the Patch section.

Patch

Server specific versions of AP373954, namely AP.nds.22.0.1123.ap373954, AP.nfm.22.0.1123.ap373954, and AP.ums.22.0.1123.ap373954, have been rereleased on Xchange. There are no modification to these patches.

The platform patch AP.platform.22.0.1123.ap373954 has, however, been recalled. A new version of the platform patch is now published on Xchange with a new md5sum:

If a previous attempt to apply AP.platform.22.0.1123.ap373954 failed, this command must be executed as root prior to applying the new version:

cd /var/broadworks/<ServerType>_Rel_22.0_1.1123/uninstall/

./uninstall-perl.pl 5.30.1
