Overview

Broadworks Release 26 Availability and End of Maintenance for BroadWorks Release 23

Release 26 of the Cisco BroadWorks software is planned to be generally available in August, 2024.  In accordance with our maintenance policy, this would signal the End of Maintenance (EOM) for BroadWorks Release 23 at the end of July 2024.

Like the Release 25 version of the BroadWorks Application Server, the Release 26 version of the Application Server is “Release Independent” which means:

There will generally be a monthly release of the complete Application Server software binary.

The naming convention of the monthly releases will incorporate “R26” through July of 2026 to have a timeline for the N-2 support of R24.

The monthly release will not be patchable; changes will generally be incorporated in the next monthly release.

New features are introduced in monthly releases as they are available.

As always, customers must make sure the upgrade plans for their BroadWorks systems keeps them running the latest release, or at the very least, a fully supported release. This is important to ensure that systems are maintained with the most competitive features, latest security and platform updates.
