The enterprise-class Cisco UCS® X410c M8 Compute Node delivers market-leading performance, versatility, and density without compromise.

Product overview

The enterprise-class Cisco UCS X410c M8 Compute Node delivers market-leading performance, versatility, and density for a wide range of mission-critical enterprise applications, memory-intensive applications, and bare-metal and virtualized workloads. Powered by the Cisco Intersight® cloud- operations platform, it is an adaptable system that can support enterprise workloads and provide a consolidation platform that provides improved performance, automation, and efficiency. It is a system engineered for the future so you can embrace emerging technologies while reducing the risk of obsolescence.

Features and benefits

Main features

The Cisco UCS X410c M8 Compute Node is the second-generation of 4-socket compute node purpose-built for the Cisco UCS X-Series Modular System. Powered by Intel® Xeon® 6 Processors, it delivers outstanding performance and efficiency for a wide range of mission-critical enterprise applications, memory-intensive workloads, and both bare-metal and virtualized environments. Up to four X410c M8 compute nodes can reside in the 7-Rack-Unit (7RU) Cisco UCS X9508 server chassis, offering you the flexibility to adapt to diverse workloads.

The Cisco UCS X410c M8 Compute Node provides these main features:

CPU: Four Intel Xeon 6 Processors with up to 86 cores per processor

Memory: Up to 16 TB of main memory with 64x 256 GB DDR5-6400 memory DIMMs

     Storage:

Up to nine hot-pluggable EDSFF E3.S NVMe drives with a new passthrough front mezzanine controller option that is new in the Cisco UCS X410c M8.

Up to six hot-pluggable, Solid-State Drives (SSDs) or Non-Volatile Memory Express (NVMe) 2.5-inch drives, with a choice of enterprise-class Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAIDs).

Up to two M.2 SATA drives or two M.2 NVMe drives for flexible boot and local storage capabilities.

     mLOM virtual interface cards (VICs):

Cisco UCS VIC (Virtual Interface Card) 15420 occupies the server's modular LAN on motherboard (mLOM) slot, enabling up to 50 Gbps (2x 25Gbps) of unified fabric connectivity to each of the chassis’ intelligent fabric modules (IFMs) for 100 Gbps connectivity per server with secure boot technology.

Cisco UCS VIC 15230 occupies the server's modular LAN on motherboard (mLOM) slot, enabling up to 100 Gbps of unified fabric connectivity to each of the chassis’ Intelligent Fabric Modules (IFMs) for 100 Gbps connectivity per server with secure boot technology.

     Optional mezzanine card:

The 5th-Gen Cisco UCS VIC 15422 can occupy the server's mezzanine slot at the bottom rear of the chassis. This card's I/O connectors link to Cisco UCS X-Fabric technology. An included bridge card extends this VIC's 2x 50 Gbps of network connections through IFM connectors, bringing the total bandwidth to 100 Gbps per fabric (for a total of 200 Gbps per server), with secure boot capability.

Security: The server supports an optional Trusted Platform Module (TPM). Additional features include a secure boot FPGA and ACT2 anti-counterfeit provisions.
