Cisco announces the end-of-life dates for the Cisco ACI Virtual Edge Switch and ACI Virtual Pod.
Cisco ACI 5.2 software release will be the last train in which Cisco ACI Virtual Edge switch and Cisco ACI Virtual Pod will be supported. Cisco ACI Virtual Edge and Cisco ACI Virtual Pod will be end of support starting Cisco ACI 6.0 software release.
Customers can still run ACI Virtual Edge with Cisco ACI 4.2 and 5.2 releases and need to migrate the AVE VMM domain to VMware DVS domain before upgrading to ACI 6.0 and later releases.
Cisco will continue investing and supporting the Cisco ACI VMM Integrations.
ACI-VPOD-MGMT=, ACI-VPOD-AVE=, ACI-VPOD-AVE-1Y, ACI-VPOD-AVE-3Y, ACI-VPOD-AVE-5Y will be supported with 5.2 release and the last date that Cisco Engineering may release any final software maintenance, bug Fixes and PSIRT till August 30, 2024. Last Day of Support will be August 30, 2026.
The Product Migration options section will cover the migration of Cisco ACI AVE VMM domains to a Cisco ACI DVS VMM domain.
