Some spare battery backup kits were sent without a cable between March and July, 2010. Non-spare units are not affected.
The spare battery backup kit should include a cable, but it was not packed in some kits that were shipped. The cable is required when using this part for a newly installed RAID controller. The cable is not required when using this part to replace an existing battery backup. Units affected by this issue were shipped between March and July 2010.
Affected units have no cable in the box with the battery.
If a battery cable is required for the specific use of the battery backup kit, an RMA should be opened with Cisco to replace the kit.
