Due to new air transportation regulations that restrict shipping of uninstalled lithium batteries, we will no longer provide these as Service replacement parts for previously sold Cisco devices. While the batteries have always been considered expendable parts, Cisco Services still offered them as a convenience to our customers. The new regulations that cover standalone batteries reflect safety concerns raised by air carriers and international government agencies.
Lithium Metal (button cell) Batteries – Although replacement batteries are no longer available from Cisco Services, you may place an order with your account team, Cisco Customer Service or Cisco Commerce. These are standard battery types that are also commercially available from local sources.
