This current version card does not meet the requirements for deployment of Virtual Concatenation (VCAT) with Differential Delay over Unidirectional Path Switched Ring (UPSR)/ Sub-Network Connection Protection (SNCP) networks. A minor hardware (HW) revision is necessary to support VCAT over UPSR/SNCP rings. This condition only affects customers who have upgraded their software (SW) to 6.0.0 or higher in order to deploy VCAT with Differential Delay over UPSR/SNCP rings.
VCAT with Differential Delay over UPSR/SNCP rings is available in software release 6.0.1, and hardware release -04 of the card. It was expected to work with the previous hardware version cards. However, it was discovered that rework of the hardware was also necessary.
VCAT with Differential Delay over UPSR/SNCP rings does not work.
The VCAT with Differential Delay over UPSR/SNCP feature does not work, nor will it work, with software release 6.0. To get the VCAT with Differential Delay over UPSR/SNCP feature, software version 6.0.1 must be installed, and the customer must return the cards for replacement for the new version, -04.
Please RMA the card to get the latest version.
