Dear Cisco Customer,

 

Cisco engineering has identified the following software issue with upgrading Cisco HyperFlex Release 5.0(2a), 5.0(2b), 5.0(2c), and 5.0(2d) to HyperFlex Release 5.0(2e). Please review the Software Advisory notice here to determine if the issue applies to your environment and apply any steps required to address the issue.

Release:

Review the Software Advisory for the current release before starting an upgrade action.

 

Reason for Advisory:

Existing Software Advisories for Upgrades from Cisco HyperFlex Release 5.0(2a), 5.0(2b), 5.0(2c), or 5.0(2d) require review of existing Software Advisories posted for the uses current HyperFlex Release.

 

New HXDP Release cluster installs (5.0(2e) or later) are not impacted.

 

Affected Software:

Upgrades to Cisco HyperFlex Release 5.0(2e) or later.

 

Symptom:

Clusters targeted for upgrade are currently using Cisco HyperFlex Release 5.0(2a), 5.0(2b), 5.0(2c), or 5.0(2d).

 

 

Conditions:

The request is to ensure users are not impacted during the upgrade process.

 

Workaround:

If your HyperFlex cluster HXDP version is currently: 5.0(2a), 5.0(2b), 5.0(2c), or 5.0(2d) review CDETS CSCwf34019 and CSCwf98678 in the posted software advisory for your current release:
