Feature Description

IOT Services Next Generation Data Pipeline

Cisco Spaces: Connector IOT Services solution delivers 5x throughput up to 18000 AP scale for Advance 2 connector.

Operating system and OVA updates

Cisco Spaces: Connector Release 3.3 supports the CSL AlmaLinux 9.7 July 2026 ISO and OVA version 8.4.8.517. The base operating system identifies as AlmaLinux 9.7 (Moss Jungle Cat).

Network adapter updates

The connector OVA uses the VMXNET3 network adapter by default which supports high-throughput deployments. This can be changed to E1000 post deployment if need be.

Service Agent updates

Service Agent updates includes a command log rotation fix and CLI support to enable root access.

FIPS CSM Toolkit updates

This release includes CSM Toolkit version 1.23.1 (FOM 7.3a) and Toolkit Compatibility Matrix version 1.32.5. The toolkit includes ciscossh 1.19.92 and ciscossl 7.3.442.

Service Manager enhancements and fixes

  • This version of SM will handle all the necessary support to enable Sensor Connect.

  • From this release, inter-communication between services will be done through UDS (Unix Domain Socket). We will use UDS to share HA state to different services.

  • New CLI are introduced for service log, space management.

  • Improved FIPS enable/disable confirmation messaging

New Platform Support

Connector Deployment on Openshift platform is supported from July 2026 build.

Addressed CVE vulnerabilities

Updated base OS to AlmaLinux 9.7, addressing multiple open CVE vulnerabilities.

If you are using the HUGS solution, you should continue to use Connector 3.2 while validation for Securitas is pending.

Upgrade path for release 3, July 2026

Cisco Spaces: Connector supports various upgrade options.

  • You can verify the current connector version using the CLI or Cisco Spaces: Connector GUI.

  • The minimum recommended connector version to upgrade to the July 2026 is the Feb 2026 release.
