Troubleshooting Secure Workload Software Appliance

Troubleshooting Software Appliance Deployment

This section outlines known issues and provides workarounds or resolutions to common scenarios encountered during deployment and operation.

Table 1. Troubleshooting

Error or Issue

Scenario

Resolution

Deployment log access issues

Unable to download deployment logs from the https:// infrastructure-manager-ipaddress/admin.

Navigate and download logs from https:// infrastructure-manager-ipaddress/run/details/downloadlogs.

A file or folder was not found

Any invalid configuration of Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) names: vSphere Management Network, vSphere Private Network, or vSphere Public Network.

Update the VLAN name in the configuration and resume deployment.

Failure in Pre Provision stage

Invalid vSphere Datastore configuration.

Update the datastore configuration and resume the process.

Failure during Deploy

Invalid vSphere DS name or vSphere Cluster name.

Verify and reconfigure with appropriate values and proceed with deployment.

Failure at RPM Upload stage

Invalid vSphere DataCenter configuration.

Fix the configuration and restart the deployment.

Infrastructure Management operations fail

Infrastructure Management redeployed after the cluster is already deployed.

Restart the cluster deployment.

Missing Infrastructure Management logs

Snapshot logs collected from the UI do not include Infrastructure Management logs.

From the Infrastructure Management UI, select the download arrow to collect logs.

UI state fails to update

The UI shows a delay in updating the orchestrator state after recommission is triggered.

Allow a few moments for the orchestrator state to update.

Cluster reboot not working

A reboot triggered from the UI does not initiate a cluster reboot.

Destroy and provision the cluster using the Infrastructure Management UI.

Shutdown/Reboot cycle failure

Virtual machiness shut down via UI -> Platform, but subsequent reboot from UI -> Platform does not work.

After shutdown, re-provision the cluster from the Infra Manager UI.

Cluster upgrade not supported

Attempting to upgrade the cluster to the same or a different version.

Perform a complete re-deployment of the cluster from the start.|

Cluster reboot

When you Reboot a software appliance cluster, the system restarts all virtual machines associated with that cluster.

During this restart cycle, the cluster remains temporarily unavailable until all virtual machines are fully operational.

Deployment Failed

If the cluster deployment fails after the Site Check stage, the system may unexpectedly redirect you back to the RPM Upload step in the Setup UI page. In this state, you will not see options to resume or reset the deployment on that screen.

Navigate to https://<inframgr-ip>/run and use the available controls to resume or reset the deployment process.
