Deploy Cisco IoT FND on an OVA
Here are the instructions to install Cisco IoT FND Release 5.x.x or later releases with an Open Virtual Appliance (OVA) software running VMware ESXi versions 7.x or 8.0 versions.

Install VMware ESXi 7.x and 8.0 versions on a server
This topic helps you in installing VMware ESXi version 7.x and 8.0 on a server, before deploying Cisco IoT FND 5.x.x OVA in the ESXi server.
Follow the steps for installing and setting up ESXi server running 7.x and 8.0 versions, before importing Cisco IoT FND OVA into ESXi server.
Before you begin

Log in to the IP address of a VMware ESXi server running 7.x and 8.0 versions via a web browser with your user credentials.

Ensure that you meet the VMware server requirements including the VM CPU and memory requirements as listed in the table.
