Introduction
This document describes a specific error "An unknown error occurred while accessing the upgrade file" that is encountered with Prime Collaboration Deployment (PCD) to migrate from Call Manager (CUCM) version 10.0(1), and occurs at the time of the Export Migration Step.
Contributed by John Barreto, Cisco TAC Engineer.
Problem
Due to a known defect CSCum18394
, migration from CUCM version 10.0.1.10000-24 to a higher release of CUCM, with PCD, fails at the migrate export stage.
Solution
As documented in the "Supported Tasks for Applications and Versions" section of the PCD Administration Guides, a migration from CUCM 10.0(1) to 11.x is supported. However due to a known issue, the migration fails at the configuration export stage.
Follow the given steps to resolve the issue:
Step 1. Collect the platform-api logs from CUCM Publisher (Source Cluster) and run the command:
file get activelog tomcat/logs/platform-api/log4j/*
Note: You will need to have an external Secure FTP(SFTP) server to collect log files with CLI.
Step 2. Review the platform-api0000x.log and search for this error:
Unable to copy /ccm/DialPlan/* to /mnt/migrate_export/cluster-x.x.x.x/node-x.x.x.x/component/callmanager/IDP/DialPlan/ (1)|<LVL::Debug>
If this matches, it confirms that defect CSCum18394
has been encountered and the fix is to upgrade the source CUCM to an Engineering Special (ES) 10.0.1.13016-1 (or later) which can be obtained from Cisco TAC.
Step 3.Once ES version is upgraded, PCD will then be able to perform a succesful export of the Dial Plan in the migration export stage.
