    Prerequisites

Before you start, ensure that you have the following:

    • Active cisco.com account
    • Active smart account in Cisco License Central (CLC)
    • CCOID access level 1 or 2

    Steps

Step 1: Log in to Cisco Software Central using your Cisco.com credentials.

Step 2: Under the Cisco License Central section, click Access Cisco License Central.

Step 3: Enter your Smart Account name or use the Search function to locate your specific Smart Account.

Step 4: In the left-hand navigation menu, select Orders > Order Inventory.

Step 5: Locate the Smart Account assignment status card and click Unassigned to filter the view.

    • Alternative: Use the search bar on the left side of the table to find a specific order.

Step Results: A list of unassigned orders for the selected Smart Account is displayed.

Step 6: Assign your order(s) using one of the following methods:

    • Multiple/Bulk Assignment: Select the checkboxes for the desired orders in the Order Identifier tab, then click Assign to Smart Account in the top-right corner of the table.
    • Single Assignment: Locate the specific order, click the gear icon (three-dot menu), and select Assign to Smart Account from the dropdown.

Note: Stocking orders and Enterprise Agreement (EA) orders cannot be assigned to a Smart Account. The Assign to Smart Account option will remain disabled for these order types.

Step 7: On the Assign to Smart Account and Virtual Account page, click Select to choose your target Smart Account.

Use the dropdown menu to the left of the search bar to filter by Domain Identifier, Smart Account Name, or Email ID. Select the appropriate Smart Account.

Select the desired Virtual Account from the dropdown and click Next.

    • If the order contains Cisco-branded services, a checkbox will appear under the Smart Account name. You may select or de-select the option to Assign Product line and Cisco branded Services to separate Accounts based on your requirements.
    • Click Next.

    Caution:

    • If you do not select the checkbox, the entire configuration (both licenses and Cisco-branded services) will be assigned to the same account.
    • The checkbox allows you to assign a different Smart Account to the Cisco-branded services line than the product line.

Step 8: Review your details and click Assign.

Step Results: A confirmation page will appear, indicating that your Smart Account and Virtual Account assignment request has been processed.

    • Partners: Licenses are assigned to the end-customer's Smart Account, while Partner-branded services are assigned to the Partner's Smart Account. These must be assigned separately.

    Troubleshooting

    • Missing Licenses: If you cannot find the license in the selected Smart Account/Virtual Account, verify the assignment in Cisco Commerce Workspace (CCW) under the View or Change Smart Account Assignments section.
