Administrators issuing the show crashinfo command after the installation of a new FWSM blade may see a crash file present that was not generated by their FWSM blade.
FWSM modules shipping directly from manufacturing were being shipped with a crashinfo file pre-loaded on the compact flash card. This crashinfo file was not created by the FWSM itself. Instead, it was generated by the FWSM that was used to make the primary copy of the compact flash card that is then used to image all new FWSM modules.
Administrators issuing the show crashinfo command will see a crash file present that was not generated by their FWSM blade.
This issue is completely cosmetic and has no impact to the FWSM module itself.
Issue a clear crashinfo command to remove the incorrect crashinfo file from flash.
Manufacturing has addressed this process issue.

FWSM shipped from MFG contains bogus crashinfo file - BGP Router Defect Resolved. |
Examine the output of crash file. If all the following conditions are true, then you are affected.
The crash occurred in the Thread named "BGP Router"
Example: Thread Name: BGP Router (Old pc 0x00112b34 ebp 0x00000000)
Following the traceback, the show version which is contained in the crashinfo file displays version 3.2(0)0
Example: FWSM Firewall Version 3.2(0)0
The same show version output indicates the FWSM's serial number is: SAD0649033Y - this Serial Number is not the actual Serial Number of the FWSM.
Issue a clear crashinfo command as stated above in the Workaround/Solution section to resolve this issue.
