The end-of-sale and end-of-life dates for this product have been announced. A Cisco Catalyst IE9300 Rugged Series switch is recommended as a replacement.

Network-wide cybersecurity delivers extensive visibility and control, and allows you to enforce security policies across the network. The IE 5000 can function as a Software-Defined Access extended node, and supports Cisco TrustSec and other advanced security features.

Manage IE 5000 switches with Cisco IOS Software features to help ensure smooth IT integration and security policy consistency. Other features include Extended Enterprise capability with Cisco Catalyst Center management and support for the Software-Defined Access Extension for IoT.
