Cisco Host’s CIO Round Table at Royal Senchi Resort As Part of keeping its Customers abreast with market and technology trends

Accra, Ghana, 15 April 2017 - As part of its ongoing customer appreciation events, worldwide leader in IT and networking Cisco® (NASDAQ: CSCO) had a two-day Chief Information Officer (CIO) roundtable. The event which took place on April 8th and 9th at the Royal Senchi resort Akosombo, Ghana, aimed to keep Cisco’s customers up to date with the latest technology and for Cisco to get feedback on how their products adopted by customers are working for respective organisations and industries. The event was attended by 35 organizations, 50 individuals from diverse industries including: FSI, Utilities, Oil/Gas, Public Sector amongst other industries and was made up of CIO’s (Head IT), IT Managers and IT directors.

The two-day event allowed Cisco to touch base with customers, to properly identity their digital transformation needs and to keep them update with market trends, new technologies and innovations. As technological products usually need upgrade and regular checks, the roundtable provides an avenue for customers to express their opinions, issues and overall satisfaction or dissatisfaction with Cisco products. The event shows Cisco’s commitment to ensure optimum customer satisfaction and to engage with them on a personal level.

Speaking at the event, Olakunle Oluruntimehin, General Manager, Cisco Nigeria (and English speaking West Africa) said that it was important for him to keep in touch with his customers, to make sure they are able to adopt Cisco technology in the era of digital transformation and to update them on market trends and innovations.

As the event progressed, disruptive conversations were initiated on how CIO’s can change the way their organizations do business and revealed important challenges and opportunities that are present to Cisco’s customers. At the event, security demos were conducted to give attendees more insight into the value of organizational security. Guests were also taken through several organizational IT applications; including application centric infrastructure and Cisco Unified Computing System, intelligent WAN and Digital Banking, Customer care and Omni channel communication experiences amongst others. At the end of the roundtable attendees pledged to make digital transformation and security a priority in their organizations.

Guests who attended the event were allowed to come with their spouses and where hosted for two nights at The Royal Senchi resort, the first 4-star luxury resort in Ghana.
