The ASA 5512-X, 5515-X, 5525-X, 5545-X, and 5555-X hardware supports either of the following advanced firewall systems:
Note: Your hardware comes preinstalled with one of the above systems. To reimage your hardware to the other system, see the reimaging document:
1. Install the ASA. See the hardware installation guide:

Note: Install the chassis with the front bezel facing the cold aisle.
Note: The power turns on immediately when you plug in the ASA.
2. Connect to the Firepower Threat Defense device. See the quick start guide:

3. Check the Release Notes for Important Information. Choose the release notes for your version:

4. Configure the Firepower Threat Defense device. Choose the configuration guide for your version:
