Can I swap hard drives between different Cisco Content Security Appliances?
Environment:Cisco Email Security, Web Security, all versions of AsyncOS
The Hard Drives on an Email and Web Security Appliance are directly keyed to each device. Swapping Hard Drives between appliances, even if they are the same model, will lead to permanent failure of the appliance. If you need a replacement Hard Drive, Cisco Customer Support can, in most cases, provide a new Hard Drive on site in 24 hours.
