Overview
Umbrella Virtual Appliance version 3.1.x and later support logging to a remote syslog server.
You can log these messages to a syslog server by using this feature:
- VA upgrades and reboots
- Logins to the VA and any configuration commands executed on the VA
- Requests for internal domains forwarded by the VA to local DNS servers. Logging these requests can provide visibility into the source of DNS requests for internal domains.
Instructions for configuring remote logging on the VA are in the Umbrella documentation.
