    Introduction

    This document describes how to use wildcard search in the Cisco Umbrella Activity Report.

    Overview

    You can use the wildcard function in the Activity Search to investigate actions taken against a domain and related subdomains. The placement of the asterisk in the domain being searched can produce different results.

    Use Asterisk (*) for Wildcard Search

    Using *domain.com can search for all of the domains and subdomains in the activity search:

    Use *domain.comwildcard_starzdusercontent.com.png

    Using *.domain.com (note the "." after the asterisk) can search for all of the subdomains only: 

    Use *.domain.comwildcard_stardotzdusercontent.com.png

    Using domain.com (without the asterisk) can search for the domain only:

    Use domain.comzdusercontent.com_search.png
