Bias-Free Language

The documentation set for this product strives to use bias-free language. For the purposes of this documentation set, bias-free is defined as language that does not imply discrimination based on age, disability, gender, racial identity, ethnic identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and intersectionality. Exceptions may be present in the documentation due to language that is hardcoded in the user interfaces of the product software, language used based on RFP documentation, or language that is used by a referenced third-party product. Investigation

How to identify it:
1. The next command is used:
phenv python2.7 /<phantom_home>/bin/setup_warm_standby.pyc --standby-mode --configure --primary-ip 10.10.10.10. --standby-ip 20.20.20.20.

2. The next error is seen:
========= Processed Params =========
Validating config
Done
Configuring OVA as Standby
Stopping all running daemons
Exception:
Command '/opt/phantom/bin/phsvc start postgresql-9.4' returned non-zero exit status 1
Message:
An old version of the database format was found.
You need to upgrade the data format before using PostgreSQL.
See (Your System's documentation directory)/postgresql-9.4.15/README.rpm-dist for more information.
Exception:
Command '/opt/phantom/bin/phsvc start postgresql-9.4' returned non-zero exit status 1
Message:
Script execution
========= Script Failed =========

3. Primary was configured correctly:
phenv python2.7  /<phantom_home>/bin/setup_warm_standby.pyc --primary-mode --configure --primary-ip 10.10.10.10 --standby-ip 20.20.20.20

4. This is a new, clean system configuration and both are in the same version, this is necessary in order for the data to sync across.

5. No space left errors are seen in warm_standby.log:
[Errno 28] No space left on device: '/opt/phantom/tmp/db/base/16387/16440'"), ('/opt/phantom/data/db/base/1687/1543313', '/opt/phantom/tmp/db/base/16387/1543313',
"[Errno 28] No space left on device: '/opt/phantom/tmp/db/base/16387/1543313'"), ('/opt/phantom/data/db/base/1687/2489196', '/opt/phantom/tmp/db/base/16387/2489196',
"[Errno 28] No space left on device: '/opt/phantom/tmp/db/base/16387/2489196'"), ('/opt/phantom/data/db/base/1687/1357532.2', '/opt/phantom/tmp /db/base/16387/1357532.2',
"[Errno 28] No space left on device: '/opt/phantom/tmp/db/base/16387/1357532.2'"), ('/opt/phantom/data/db/base/1687/17634', '/opt/phantom/tmp/db/base/16387/17634',
"[Errno 28] No space left on device: '/opt/phantom/tmp/db/base/16387/17634'"), ('/opt/phantom/data/db/base/16387/1627', '/opt/phantom/tmp/db/base/16387/16427',
"[Errno 28] No space left on device: '/opt/phantom/tmp/db/base/16387/16427'"), ('/opt/phantom/data/db/base/16387/154081', '/opt/phantom/

Resolution

How to identify it:

Use a clean ( /<phantom_home>/data) db directory to try and have empty psql to be able to run standby script again (partition is filling up and breaking psql, as there is still the old db from the clone in there too)

After that you should be able to see the script running successfully:
========= Script Done =========
