Introduction
This document describes the encryption broswer policy as used for encryption envelopes and the Cisco Registered Envelope Service (CRES).
Encryption Browser Policy for Cisco IronPort Encryption Envelopes and CRES User Portal
Cisco IronPort has adopted a two-tier support model that is designed to be as comprehensive as possible while still providing a guaranteed user experience for the most common configurations.
The two tiers include:
- Certified. Cisco IronPort qualifies combinations that have reached significant market adoption. These fully qualified combinations are said to be certified, and if issues are reported on these combinations they will be treated as bugs and given priority over issues found in compatible combinations.
Note: Certification testing is done with the latest released version of browser, email clients, and databases at the time of testing.
- Compatible. Combinations which have sufficient field evidence from customers that they work are said to be compatible. If issues are found on these combinations they will be treated as enhancements and will be addressed in a best-effort manner.
The most up-to-date information can be found in the Cisco Encryption Compatibilty Matrix. This will include both the most up-to-date CRES version information, and the operating systems and browsers that are currently used and supported.
