This document describes the process on how to disable the New Web Interface on Security Management Appliances (SMA).
Background on NGUI
New Web Interface was introduced on SMA devices from AsyncOS 12.0 onwards. With the implementation of the feature, the user(s) were able to see a new banner on top of the web page (when they login to the legacy web interface) which upon click will route the user(s) to the New Web Interface. Representation of the banner can be seen here:
Note: Sub-command NGUIBANNER is currently available only on SMA and will not be available on Email Security Appliances (ESA).
Disable the Banner
You will have to connect to the device through the Secure Shell (SSH) session. Once you are connected, login to CLI and use command adminaccessconfig in order to disable the banner as shown here:
Select the operation you want to perform:
BANNER - Configure pre-login message (banner) for the appliance administrator login. WELCOME - Configure welcome message (post-login banner) for the appliance administrator login. IPACCESS - Configure IP-based access for appliance administrative interface. CSRF - Configure web UI Cross-Site Request Forgeries protection. NGUIBANNER - Enable/Disable the Next Generation User Interface Banner. XSS - Configure Cross-Site Scripting Attack protection. ENCRYPTCONFIG - Configure encryption of sensitive data in the appliance. HOSTHEADER - Configure option to use host header in HTTP requests. TIMEOUT - Configure GUI and CLI session inactivity timeout. > nguibanner
