Detector notifications are successfully delivered to individual recipients but fail to reach members of an assigned team. This behavior occurs even when the detector triggers and individual notifications are sent. The issue is frequently observed with detectors monitoring synthetic availability. In Splunk Observability Cloud, when a team is specified as a recipient, the team notification policy governs which alerts are sent to team members.
1. Navigate to Settings and select Team Configurations.
2. Select the name of the team that is not receiving notifications.
3. Click on the Notification Policy tab.
4. Verify if the checkboxes for the specific alert levels such as Critical, Warning, or Info are selected. If these are unchecked, team members will not receive notifications for those levels.
1. Log in to the Splunk Observability Cloud user interface.
2. Navigate to Settings and select Team Configurations.
3. Select the team name that requires notification updates.
4. Click the Notification Policy tab.
5. Enable the checkboxes for the specific alert types the team must receive, such as Critical, Warning, Info, or Resolved.
6. Click Save.
7. Trigger a test alert to confirm that team members now receive the expected email notifications.
