Description

Splunk Web UI is failed to start on default port 8065 with the errors

Set `appServerProcessLogStderr` to "true" under [settings] in web.conf. Restart, try the operation again, and review splunkd.log for any messages that contain "UiAppServer - From appserver".

2. There is no iptables enabled to block the connection on port #8065

3. After enabled appServerProcessLogStderr via web.conf, there is permission issue against /etc/mime.types. Once the permission of /etc/mime.types is changed to 666, Splunk Web UI is operational
