OAuth 2.1 functionality is available by default in Splunk Cloud versions 10.5.2506.3 and later. Prior to the release of this version, it was possible to manually request that OAuth 2.1 be enabled on a stack, but now it is no longer allowed. Stacks running earlier versions need to be upgraded to 10.5.2506.3+ in order to access this feature.
Verify the current version of the Splunk Cloud instance by navigating to Settings > About. Ensure the version is 10.5.2506.3 or higher.
1. Verify the current Splunk Cloud version.
2. If the version is below 10.5.2506.3, request an upgrade through the standard support process to reach at least version 10.5.2506.3.
3. Once the instance is running 10.5.2506.3 or higher, navigate to Settings > Authentication Methods.
4. Configure the required OAuth settings under the available menu options.
