Applicability

Splunk Cloud

Description

When a notification email is received by Splunk's administrators stating the certificates on Splunk Cloud Universal Forwarder's Credentials Package are about to expire, the Universal Forwarder's Credentials Package must be updated on the instances where the old package is still installed.


Investigation

In order to know which instances on the deployment need to have the Universal Forwarder's Credentials Package, the instances could be accessed to check if they have the old Credentials Package.


Resolution

Update the Splunk Cloud Universal Forwarder's Credentials Package on the instances where the old Credentials Package is still installed.
